On arrival at Maun Airport, a representative will meet and assist you to your onward flight. The flying time to Stanley's Camp is approximately 15 minutes. This camp is situated in a 260,000-acre private concession within the Okavango Delta, thus affording guests absolute exclusivity. Guest accommodation consists of 8 classic styled safari tents. Each unit offers en-suite facilities and a private deck. Hammocks and Morris chairs on the decks are perfect for relaxation in the African sunshine.
The afternoon is at leisure to enjoy the game viewing activities. Stanley's Camp offers some of the best game viewing in the Okavango Delta, including the rare and elusive wild dog. A completely unique Stanley's feature is an educational experience with a group of semi-habituated African elephants and a highly recommended activity at an additional cost.
Activities available at Stanley's Camp include serene mokoro canoe excursions (subject to water levels), exclusive bush dinners, and game drives in customised, open 4 x 4 vehicles - including the rare opportunity of night drives. As Stanley's Camp is in a private concession, guests also have the exclusive option of walking safaris with an armed professional guide through the Okavango Delta. The afternoon and the whole of day 2 are at leisure to enjoy the game viewing activity on offer.
Enjoy a morning game viewing activity followed by breakfast. This region is known as the “predator capital” of Africa and is considered to have the finest game viewing in Botswana including the Big Five. Wild Dogs often den nearby, and there are regular good sightings of elusive leopard. Guest accommodation comprises of 12 secluded, permanent luxury bush pavilions. Each unit features a thatched roof, spacious seating area, en-suite facilities with indoor and outdoor showers as well as a private game viewing deck with hammock and deck chairs.
The main deck area is split-level and offers expansive views over the floodplain while the lower level of the deck houses an exquisite swimming pool overlooking the Okavango Delta. A range of spa treatments are offered in the treatment room. Activities include game drives & seasonal mokoro excursions through the Okavango Delta, subject to water levels. Relax in luxurious thatched cottages, with modern freestanding baths, indoor and outdoor showers, terrace and private garden with hammock overlooking the magnificent Chobe River. Enjoy thrilling guided game drives in open-sided 4X4 vehicles that bring you to the heart of Africa's largest concentration of elephants, as well as hippos, buffalos, antelope, lions and other creatures that gather on the banks of the Chobe River.
Or join one of the acclaimed guides on a wonderous water safari on specially adapted motorboats. Accommodation is in 15 cottages and each cottage has its own ensuite bathroom with a modern freestanding bath, indoor and outdoor showers, private garden with hammock, “sala” or private balcony, mosquito nets, ceiling fans, air-conditioning, hairdryer, minibar as well as an in-room safe. Enjoy a morning game viewing activity followed by breakfast. You will transfer via a ferry crossing to Livingstone Airport. The transfer time will be advised to you locally by the lodge management.
