Namibia

The Orange River

safari This river forms much of the boundary between Namibia and South Africa and is a very attractive area with lush, green vegetation and interesting scenery. Guided river rafting and canoe trips are run here which offer participants the opportunity to experience this beautiful area from a different perspective. Guests must be fit, although the trips do not require excessive exertion.

Most trips run between Noordoewer and Selingsdrif, part of this route runs along the boundary between Namibia's Fish River Canyon National Park and South Africa's Richtersveld National Park.

Namibia

Sesriem & Sossusvlei

Adventure activities available in this beautiful area include quad biking through the shifting dunes of some of the private reserves or light aircraft scenic flights to view the dunes stretching out towards the Atlantic Ocean.  You may also decide to take an early morning hot air balloon excursion, this is a perfect way to view the vast desert landscape and a real once in a lifetime experience.  You will set off from Sesriem or the NamibRand  Nature Reserve at sunrise, rising into the cool morning air to drift silently over the mountains and dunes of the ancient Namib Desert.  After approximately one hour you will land close to the support vehicle and celebrate your adventure with a champagne breakfast.

Swakopmund

This pretty coastal town is the perfect place to relax as well as to take part in some of the many adventure activities on offer. Choose between tandem skydiving, or a static line course for those visitors with more time, or try the exhilarating sand-boarding trips that are run in the dunes just outside Swakopmund and guarantee an adrenaline rush! Quad biking trips in the dunes are also run from Swakopmund, as are scenic flights along the Skeleton Coast.  Boat trips with chances of seeing dolphins and fur seals taking advantage of the excellent Atlantic fish stocks can also be arranged from Walvis Bay.

Namibia

Kunene River

The Kunene is situated in northern Namibia and runs along the border with Angola. This remote region is ruggedly beautiful with a large variety of scenery ranging from dry plains and mountains to lush vegetation along the banks of the river. This landscape provides habitat for many wildlife species and is also home to the Himba people who still live in the relative isolation of their ancestors in traditional villages.  Guided river rafting trips run here offering participants the opportunity to enjoy this usually inaccessible area, trips vary in length from day trips to overnight excursions. Guests must be fit, although the trips do not require excessive exertion.  Quad bike trails are also available from some of the private lodges on the river.

Cape Town

A great variety of adventure sports can be arranged from Cape Town. These vary from climbing and abseiling around the Table Mountain area to shark diving with infamous Great Whites just off the coast from Gansbaai. Parachuting is also on offer for a spectacular view of this cosmopolitan area!

Garden Route

safari This section of beautiful coastline stretches along South Africa's south west coast and covers indigenous forest, lagoons and sand dunes as well as some beautiful beaches.  Enjoy caving in the Cango Caves near Oudtshoorn, Great White shark diving from towns along the coast, abseiling in the Storm's River area and gorge swinging & bungee jumping in Plettenberg Bay & Mossel Bay.

Zambia

The Zambezi River

safari There is a lot more to the town of Livingstone than the spectacular Victoria Falls. The Mosi-oa-Tunya, 'The Smoke That Thunders', National Park includes the area surrounding Victoria Falls themselves in addition to the Game Park further west, running alongside the Zambezi River. This area is home to many species including elephant and hippo and the riverside walks through lush vegetation can be exhilarating! Numerous adventure activities can be organised including white water rafting, bungee jumping from the bridge that separates Zimbabwe and Zambia, gorge swinging, abseiling, river boarding and jet boating. Elephant back excursions can also be arranged. Scenic flights over the Falls are an amazing way to view the gorge and river system. Choose from a helicopter, fixed wing small plane or micro-light for the really adventurous.

Zimbabwe

Victoria Falls

safari As in Zambia, this area is ideal for adrenalin enthusiasts.  Adventure activities are still popular here and can be booked from your hotel or from the activity offices in town.  These include white water rafting, bungee jumping from the bridge separating Zimbabwe and Zambia, gorge swinging, abseiling, river boarding and jet boating. Elephant back excursions from nearby Livingstone can also be arranged. Scenic flights over the Falls are an amazing way to view the gorge and river system.
