Upon your arrival at Maun airport, you will make your way to your charter airplane, and on to Nxai Pan Camp in the Nxai Pan National Park, where you will spend the next two nights.
The camp accommodates a maximum of eighteen guests in thatched units specially designed to provide a constant and comfortable temperature throughout the year. Excellent game viewing is possible from the comfort of your rooms as the water hole in front of the camp draws a multitude of mammal species.
Activities offered at Nxai Pan are game drives, day trips to the famous Baines’ Baobabs and Khama Khama Pan, star gazing, as well as nature walks with Bushman trackers.
Approximately 20km south-east of Nxai Pan, is the beautiful Kudiakam Pan complex. Apart from the abundance of wildlife, Kudiakam Pan is also significant as the site of 'Baines' Baobabs', a clump of seven Baobab trees, known as the 'seven sisters' or the 'sleeping sisters' commemorated on canvas by painter and explorer Thomas Baines on 22 May 1862. All meals & activities included.
Kwara Camp is located on the northern boundary of the world famous Moremi Game Reserve in the heart of a large private concession of 1700 sq km. On a large island hidden under massive trees are eight specially designed safari tents on teak decks. Each tent with its en-suite facilities has a view over the floodplains of the Delta. The guest areas consist of lounge, bar, dining area, small gift shop and plunge pool.
The attraction of Kwara is its wide range of activities in an area of intricate channels, rivers, lagoons, dramatic palm-fringed islands, reed beds, floating grasses and papyrus that form a natural wilderness like no other. Year round powerboat trips are available due to the presence of permanent water. Mokoro excursions for which the Okavango Delta is famous are also a year round activity. Although the emphasis of this camp is on water activities, these are combined with the ability to drive both off-road and at night which adds to the uniqueness of Kwara.
The Kwara area is home to a variety of wildlife species including, lechwe, sitatunga, reedbuck, bushbuck, hippo, crocodile, elephant, buffalo, sable, roan, zebra, giraffe, wildebeest, impala and tsessebe. Lion, hyaena, wild dog, leopard and cheetah are also abundant in this part of the Delta and are regularly seen.
Fishing for bream, catfish and pike is also an excellent activity that can be undertaken. All Meals & activities included.
Lagoon Camp lies on the shady banks of the Kwando River among the shade of mature Marula trees. Accommodation is provided in six luxury safari-style permanent tents overlooking the river and with en-suite facilities. Activities are based around morning and night game drives in open vehicles, double deck boat cruises and guided walks. Fishing is also available. This lush area is home to large herds of elephant and buffalo, pods of hippo wallow contentedly in the Kwando, and spotted necked otter may also be seen from time to time. All meals & activities included.
Set on a hill bordering the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park and overlooking unspoilt bush, Stanley Safari Lodge is only 3km from the Victoria Falls.
The open-sided Main House has been designed with space and views in mind and has a truly African feel. Enjoy sundowners in the African style lounge, a 3 course dinner in the dining room or spend some quiet time in the library or upper deck discovering the secrets of Africa.
The range of activities in the Livingstone area (including the Victoria Falls) is enormous. All of these activities do involve, at least to a certain extent, the Victoria Falls or the Zambezi River. All meals & lodge activities included.
