Relax around the swimming pool or lounge area, and maybe take the afternoon to explore the shops and restaurants of the city. Facilities include satellite TV lounge, swimming pool, self-catering kitchen, small bar, internet & guest phone and safe parking. Breakfast included.
Make your way north today, via Otjiwarongo to the Otavi region. Ohange Lodge consists of 10 unique African style mountain chalets, all with en-suite facilities. Each chalet is situated in the shade of big Maroela and Tamoboti trees so that you can simply sit back and read a book in peace, with wildlife grazing around you. Each chalet has an open view over the waterhole and the Otavi Mountains where there is abundant game and an extraordinary bird life. Dinner & breakfast included.
Located 12km from the town of Rundu, Hakusembe overlooks the Okavango River and offers beautiful views into the lush, green riparian fringe of Angola. Accommodation is offered in six thatched chalets which are all river facing. Traditional meals including venison are served in the restaurant, and many optional activities can be arranged.
These include river safaris, birding to explore some of the 400 species present in this area, champagne sunset cruises, water skiing or bream & tiger fishing. Alternatively you may choose to spend your time relaxing around the pool! Breakfast & dinner included.
Driving on the Trans Caprivi between Rundu and Victoria Falls, you will cross the village of Kongola where you will turn towards the South. Twenty five kilometres further down, you will find a signpost marked “Camp Kwando” where you will turn right for another three kilometres.
Located at the junction of Botswana, Zambia, Angola and Zimbabwe, Camp Kwando offers you hosting and activities in a beautiful and often overlooked area of the country; the Caprivi. The island accommodates eight thatched tents, each one with two beds. Every bed is equipped with a mosquito net.
Built on poles with a terrace overlooking the river, these bungalows will allow you to do some fishing from the deck. Every tent has an en suite bathroom with shower, a toilet and a basin with hot and cold water. These are open sky bathrooms that will allow you to enjoy the surrounding nature.
Optional activities on offer include game drives, bush walks, traditional village visits, fishing or excursions into the nearby Mamili National Park. Breakfast & dinner included.
About 20km south of Bagani Bridge along the C48, just after the Popa Falls, is the turnoff to Ndhovu. This peaceful seven room riverine retreat is situated on the western banks of the Okavango River, overlooking the well-known Caprivi Game Park. In true safari tradition, Ndhovu offers luxury tented accommodation, each tent being fully equipped with its own en-suite bathroom facilities.
The charming thatched lapa overlooks the banks of the river, where elephants and hippo sometimes congregate, providing residents outstanding game and bird-viewing opportunities whilst enjoying sundowners at the bar and delicious buffet meals. A swimming pool nestles in a large area of green lawn and indigenous trees.
Facilities offered at the lodge include optional boat trips, fishing excursions and game drives whilst the birdlife in the area will satisfy the most ardent bird-watcher - over 400 different species have been recorded in the surroundings. The Mahango Game reserve is a mere 2km away, offering excellent opportunities to view elephant, buffalo, red lechwe and sable antelope, to name a few, in typical riverine and swamp land habitat.
Your hosts at Ndhovu Safari Lodge will do everything within their powers to ensure that your stay at the safari lodge will be a truly memorable African bush experience. Breakfast & dinner included.
Today you will make your way across the border into Botswana and drive onwards down the western edge of the Delta. Accommodation is in rustic A-frame chalets. The Kanana pan system attracts thousands of Sand Grouse together with flocks of Guinea Fowl and Doves which in turn sustain the Raptors - Bateleur, Marshal and other Eagles, with Vultures, Goshawks and Kestrels in close attendance.
Tortoise and other smaller and lesser known species are there to be discovered, with the giant Ostrich overseeing this panoply. Experienced and qualified staff, assisted by bushmen guides, accompany you through this area, interpreting the secrets of this remote and isolated savannah, part of one of the last expanses of wilderness in Africa. Dinner & breakfast included.
