Routing: Windhoek, Namibia to Livingstone, Zambia.

Highlights: Waterberg, 2 nights Etosha National Park, Popa Falls, Caprivi game parks, 2 nights Chobe National Park & 2 nights Victoria Falls (Livingstone).

Details: Self-drive accommodated safari inclusive of zero excess 4x4 air-conditioned Toyota Hilux single cab, accommodation in 3 star lodges, chalets or guest houses on the meal basis stated, route map & 24 hour support.

Day 1: Windhoek

Land in Windhoek, collect your hire vehicle and transfer to your accommodation at Rivendell Guest House, located in a quiet suburb close to the city centre. Stay in a twin room with en-suite bathroom facilities. Explore the shops and restaurants of the city. Breakfast included.

Day 2: Waterberg Region

Drive north to Waterberg Wilderness Lodge, which is situated in a valley at the foot of the Waterberg plateau, a journey of around 3.5 hours. This lush, sandstone plateau rises out of the surrounding plains, the freshwater springs filter through the sandstone giving rise to lush vegetation which sustains a healthy wildlife population. Dinner and breakfast included + guided hike onto the plateau.

Days 3 &4: Namutoni Rest Camp, Etosha National Park

Depart this morning for your drive to Etosha National Park, Namibia's premier wildlife reserve. Your drive through Etosha's eastern gate should take approximately 4 hours. Namutoni is located inside Etosha National Park and offers excellent night time game viewing opportunities at the floodlit waterhole. You will stay in individual chalets with basic self-catering facilities. The rest camp also has a restaurant, shop and swimming pool. Dinner & breakfast included.

Day 5 : N'kwasi Lodge, Rundu

Exit Etosha this morning and drive north via Tsumeb & Grootfontein to Rundu. Located on the banks of the Kavango River, this lovely lodge has a swimming pool and beautiful views across the river into Angola. Dinner and breakfast included.

Day 6: Ndhovu Lodge, Popa Falls

Drive westwards to the Popa Falls to the luxury lodge that is Ndhovu, situated on the banks of the Okavango River. Relax and watch the wildlife across the river, animals seen in this area include elephant, buffalo, hippo and others. This area is ideal for bird-watching and guests may like to take a self-drive or guided trip into the nearby Mahango Game Park. Dinner and breakfast included.

Days 7 & 8: Namushasha Lodge, Kongola

Situated on the banks of the Kwando River, this rustic lodge overlooks a tranquil hippo pool with over 300 recorded bird species in abundance. Boat cruises and fishing trips on the Kwando, or game drives into the West Caprivi Game Park can be arranged. A 4km hiking trail allows guests to enjoy the local flora and birdlife. The interesting Mudumo & Mamili National Parks are also close by as well as Lizauli Traditional Village and craft centre. Dinner and breakfast included.

Days 9&10: Garden Lodge, Kasane

This intimate lodge is located on the edge of Kasane, close to the Chobe National Park and ideally situated for the excellent game viewing this region has to offer. You will drop off your hired vehicle on the afternoon of day 9. Included is an afternoon boat cruise on the mighty Chobe River and a game drive into the National Park on day 10. Dinner and breakfast included.

Days 11&12: Zambesi Sun, Livingstone, Zambia

You will receive a transfer to the Zambezi Sun today, located on the verdant banks of one the greatest rivers in Africa. It is a place to unwind, relax and enjoy Africa's greatest natural wonder, or you can test your courage by experiencing a number of thrilling, heart stopping optional adventure activities including white water rafting, bungi jumping, helicopter flights or elephant back rides. Unlimited access to the Zambia side of the Victoria Falls is included in your room rate. Breakfast included.

Day 13: Depart from Livingstone

After a final African breakfast, you will be transferred to Livingstone Airport in time for your onward flight.
