Day 1: Rivendell Guest House, Windhoek |

Land in Windhoek, collect your hire vehicle and transfer to your accommodation at Rivendell Guest House, located in a quiet suburb close to the city centre. Stay in a twin room with en-suite bathroom facilities. Explore the shops and restaurants of the city. Breakfast included. |

Day 2: Ohange Guest Farm, Otavi region |

Make your way north today, via Otjiwarongo to the Otavi region. Ohange Lodge consists of 10 unique African style mountain chalets, all with en-suite facilities. Each chalet is situated in the shade of big Maroela and Tamoboti trees so that you can simply sit back and read a book in peace, with wildlife grazing around you. Each chalet has an open view over the waterhole and the Otavi Mountains where there is abundant game and an extraordinary bird life. Dinner & breakfast included. |

Days 3 & 4: Hakusembe River Lodge, Rundu |

Located 12km from the town of Rundu, Hakusembe overlooks the Okavango River and offers beautiful views into the lush, green riparian fringe of Angola. Accommodation is offered in six thatched chalets which are all river facing. Traditional meals including venison are served in the restaurant, and many optional activities can be arranged. These include river safaris, birding to explore some of the 400 species present in this area, champagne sunset cruises, water skiing or bream & tiger fishing. Alternatively you may choose to spend your time relaxing around the pool! Breakfast & dinner included. |

Days 5 & 6: Lianshulu Lodge, border of Mudumu National Park |

Lianshulu is probably the most famous of the Caprivi lodges, established some 15 years ago. Its position on a small lagoon on the Kwando River is superb, with the bar deck stretching out over the water providing a tranquil environment from which to watch the river, birds & occasional hippo. Whilst here you can enjoy optional afternoon boat cruises or perhaps game drives through the Mudumu National Park. The wildlife has been steadily increasing in numbers and confidence since the end of the Caprivi troubles some years ago and you may now hope to see elephant, hippo, crocodile, lechwe, buffalo to name but a few. Relax in the afternoons in your chalet or around the swimming pool. Breakfast & dinner included. |

Days 7,8 & 9: Divavu Okavango Lodge & Spa, border of Mahango Game Park |

This newly renovated luxury lodge is nestled amongst mature, majestic trees on the banks of the Okavango River a few hundred metres from Popa Falls. The Lodge offers an exquisite view over the Okavango River with excellent opportunities for bird watching. Divava is only 14km's from the Mahango Game Reserve, which is celebrated for its abundance of game species including elephant, buffalo, sable and roan antelope, bushbuck, reedbuck and tsessebe.
Accommodation is offered in 20 luxurious chalets and central facilities include a bush bar, restaurant, swimming pool and a viewing deck overlooking the Okavango River. Boat cruises to the Popa Falls to view hippo and crocodiles and game-viewing trips to the Mahango Game Reserve can be arranged. Days 10 & 11: Drotsky's Cabins, Okavango Delta , Botswana |

Today you will make your way across the border into Botswana and drive onwards down the western edge of the Delta. Accommodation is in rustic A-frame chalets. Relax in camp and soak up the laid back atmosphere. Perhaps take advantage of the excellent fishing opportunities, equipment and boats can be hired from the lodge. Drotsky's overlooks the meandering river and facilities include a campsite, chalets and a bar/restaurant. Dinner & breakfast included. |

Day12: Motswiri Lodge, border of the Kalahari Desert, Botswana |

Drive south today towards the drier, less explored area of Botswana; the vast Kalahari Desert. Motswiri is a fully serviced eight bed camp comprising luxury tents with en-suite bathrooms, a dining room, lounge and bar, all overlooking a natural pan at the head of Kanana Wilderness. Activities include day and night game drives, San Bushman cultural dances and walks and horse riding.
The Kanana pan system attracts thousands of Sand Grouse together with flocks of Guinea Fowl and Doves which in turn sustain the Raptors - Bateleur, Marshal and other Eagles, with Vultures, Goshawks and Kestrels in close attendance. |
Tortoise and other smaller and lesser known species are there to be discovered, with the giant Ostrich overseeing this panoply. Experienced and qualified staff, assisted by bushmen guides, accompany you through this area, interpreting the secrets of this remote and isolated savannah, part of one of the last expanses of wilderness in Africa. Day13: Kalahari Bushbreaks, border of the Kalahari Desert, Namibia |

Situated approximately 90km east of Gobabis, this beautiful lodge has been designed by the owner who is an architect and the attention to detail and fine touches are evident. Each spacious room overlooks the Kalahari grasslands and has a large bathroom and individually decorated bedroom area. Nature drives are offered as well as walks, and a swimming pool and lounge area offer guests the ideal place to relax at the end of the day. Return to Windhoek today for your last night in Namibia, the drive should take around 3.5 hours.

After a leisurely breakfast and perhaps a last look around the city you can return your hire car to Windhoek International Airport in time to connect with your return flight. |
